Left Albert Lea at 6:30 am temperature was 72 degrees. Saw remnants of the storm we followed last night as we passed through Iowa and Wisconsin. Trees snapped off corn shredded, roofs gone, a camper on its roof, road signs and billboards bent down to the ground. We followed the path of the storm for about 100 miles. Crossed over the mighty Mississippi River. Stopped at Jim's brother's farm in Mineral Point, Wisconsin and visited with Tom and Cindy Wiker and his family for a little before getting back on the road again. We traveled into Illinois and then into Indiana we ended up splitting from our group for tonight we are going to my Uncle Jim and Aunt Robin's farm in Fairmount, Indiana to visit in the morning. We stopped for the night in Lafayette, Indiana apparently snagging the last room possible in the area at the Red Roof Inn. We traveled 617 miles today.
