It was 57 degrees when we left Cody, Wyoming at 7 am. We saw the most wildlife we have seen in one day today. Mostly in Wyoming. We had to stop today on the road for deer, mule deer and Antelope. So far on our trip the wildlife we have seen include chipmunks, canyon squirrels, coyote, armadillo, buffalo, deer, mule deer, elk, jack rabbit,white pelicans, porcupine, antelope,marmot,& prairie dogs. The guys stopped along the way to check what was growing in the field after stopping realized that it was sugar beets growing in the field. We road Big Horn Bypass in the Black Hills on Route 14. We saw sheep in the fields grazing free. We stopped for lunch at Humphrey's Bar and Grill in Gillette, Wy. The menu was huge and food was good with large portions. We stopped at the Vore Buffalo Jump in Sundance, Wy and learned how the Indians drove buffalo into a sinkhole. We rode through Sturgis, SD and finally stopped in Wall, SD for the night visited the famous Wall Drug got some souvenirs and gifts, a some munchies and snacks. Checked into the Best Western in Wall for the night. A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for penny sized hail so we have temporarily moved the bikes until the warning is lifted.
