We got up this morning and my sister-in-law Kellie and I went to the store for some breakfast items and donuts. They were taking a group of youth up to Battlecreek Falls to repel off the waterfall. My brother Carson, my nephew Nathan, Jeff and I went early to set up everything for the repelling. The hike back to the falls is about a half mile and the hike was steep.
After setting up Nathan repelled done and then they got Jeff set up to repel down. As Jeff was repelling the trail and the falls started to get pretty crowded for the day since it was a Saturday. The kids from the youth group began showing up shortly and they repelled down the 80 foot falls one by one. They ranged in age from 12 to 17 and there were 25-30 kids. So it was a long day for Carson and the other leaders instructing and helping the kids down one at a time. After we watched my niece Gabby repel down we headed back to the house with Kellie by this time it was about 1 pm. Jeff and I decided that we will make dinner tonight so we borrowed Kellie’s car and went to the Grocery store to get the food we needed. After Carson and Nathan got back from Battlecreek Falls the separated all the climbing gear and then Jeff and Carson moved Kellie’s refrigerator back into the kitchen as they had just gotten new flooring in the kitchen and it needed moved back in. Before making dinner we took a picture with the family as Nathan and Gabby had a youth group dinner to go to.
After they left we made dinner and then sat down to visit with each other.
