From Quarryville, PA River Road to TJ Rockwells in Elizabethtown, PA

On Sunday July 13th we traveled from Quarryville, PA to Elizabethtown, PA we followed scenic River Road from Quarryville to Marietta to Maytown to 741 into Elizabethtown, PA to TJ Rockwells in Elizabethtown for lunch. The weather was extremely hot and humid threatening a thunderstorm at any moment so we were parched when we arrived with our friends Carmen and Jim. When asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside on the deck, the men really wanted to sit inside in the air, but we convinced then to sit on the deck. The hostess found us a nice table on the deck in the shade of a tree and once seated and a beverage served everyone was glad we sat outside. TJ Rockwells has a great outdoor atmosphere as well as a built in playground for kids off the deck (Smart thinking....kids are happy and parents stay longer) We ordered from the menu even though Sundays they offer a great seafood buffet. I had the Chicken Tottellini Salad and it was amazing. Jeff had a club sandwich which he said was good too. I enjoyed a Mason Jar cocktail called a Peach Berry Breeze which was super refreshing and very good. Carmen enjoyed the Key West Melon Bay as the 2 responsible drivers enjoyed Peach Ice Tea and Coke. We headed home on 283 as the weather looked really threatening. We arrived home before the ran hit, but we had a great ride and enjoyed great conversation with good friends.
